 Naturopathic Consultation |
| Naturopathy provides natural treatments for most conditions. The human body is a complex organism with the innate ability to heal it-self when we learn how to listen to it and respond by supporting its needs. In spite of the stresses our bodies endure through exposure to environmental toxins, poor nutrition, smoking, alcohol, inactivity or emotional suppression, they serve us well. Unfortunately the body can only stand so much, and continued pressure will lead to deterioration in the state of health. For many this deterioration may be mild discomfort, or a gradual worsening of symptoms. At this point one has a choice to suppress symptoms with drugs, or to find the cause and take corrective action. The Naturopathic approach seeks to find the causes of any symptoms and implement appropriate changes. With enough support and a reduction of the underlying stress (be it dietary, physical, emotional etc) the body will naturally seek to cure itself. Without support the body has no choice but to weaken and suffer. Naturopaths use herbs, nutritional supplements, lifestyle correction, exercise, detoxification and the concept of food-as-medicine to help put your health back on track. Kayakalp maintains stocks of herbal and nutritional products, which may be recommended during the consultation for specific healing purpose. |

 Lifestyle management Counseling |
| This counseling session is not so much about us giving you solutions, as assisting you to understand, work through and deal with issues in a safe, supportive and non- judgmental environment. Counseling is a useful tool to help us deal with daily patterns of stress, anxieties, and fears. Through the release of our self- limiting beliefs, negative patterns and emotional hang- ups we are then freed to live with joy and enthusiasm in a manner we see best for ourselves. Sessions for couples who wish to work through issues are also available. |

 Colonic Cleansing |
| A colon cleansing therapy unequalled in results. Colonic irrigation was first mentioned in the Dead Sea Scrolls and remains one of the oldest treatments in recorded history for detoxification and cleansing of the body. Considering the nature of the foods we eat and our depleted digestive systems it is not uncommon for the large intestine to be blocked with plaque, leading to poor nutrient absorption, chronic ailments and lowered vitality. A series of colonics coupled with either a properly designed cleansing fast or a healthy, balanced diet, can revitalize the body and almost immediately lead to increases in energy, clarity of mind and better health. Many ailments such as irritable bowel, constipation, skin complaints, headaches, lymphatic congestion, parasite infections, fatigue gynecological problems and even emotional stresses can be helped by the cleansing and decongestion of the bowel. |

 Nutritional Counseling |
| A solid nutritional understanding can help you to achieve improvements in health as well as weight loss. Imbalances in the types of foods, times of eating and other dietary habits have a large impact on how our body responds to food and how it subsequently burns or stores energy. By bringing your awareness to these issues and highlighting areas for change you may find that keeping fit and healthy is much easier than you thought. Our nutritional state can also predispose us to long-term illnesses such as high cholesterol, diabetes or heart disease. Since dietary changes have the ability to lessen or worsen the severity of many illnesses, a consultation to fine tune your diet to your lifestyle can help return you to a path towards optimum health during this consultation we will review your day-to-day diet along with your general health, and other factors that affect your nutritional state. Where appropriate guidelines for improvements and corrections can be made. Where needed supplements and herbs to boost the body & resources and support the function of the metabolic and digestive organs may be suggested. |

 Cleansing Diet |
| Three or more days, as advised according to your goals 3 or more days. Detoxification and fasting is the ideal preventative maintenance for health. The impact of modern life on our digestion and health cannot be overestimated. For most of us the occasional (or regular) excesses of life just keep building up until we find ourselves heavy, lethargic and lacking in vitality. The answer to life & excesses is to slow down and clean the body. In order to do this there is no better way than with a simple cleansing diet. The Kayakalp’s cleansing diet is an easy, short- term dietary plan that runs from 3 to 10 days. It is devised to allow the body, specifically the digestive organs, to rest and begin the process of detoxification. In order to do this we only use detoxifying foods such as fruit and fruit juices, vegetables and vegetable juices, light nutritious broths and herbal teas to support the body during cleansing. A primary aim of this plan is to support your energy so that you can continue to enjoy our facilities. The results of a regular cleansing program are increased health and vitality, healthier skin, clearer eyes, improved immunity and an overall sense of well being. In addition many of Kayakalp’s other treatments are designed to enhance detoxification, whether through colonic hydrotherapy, body scrubs and wraps, or abdominal massage, allowing you to maximize the benefit that you get from your cleansing diet. |

 Deep tissue Massage |
| Works on releasing tension, blockages and knots that have accumulated over time in muscles, scar tissues and joints. Makes the body more flexible and relaxed. This massage works on the muscle, scar tissue and fibrous connective tissue in the body to release tension, blockages and knots that have accumulated over time. This massage has its origin in the Swedish oil massage and is adapted to each individual’s specific needs. The deep tissue massage is harder and deeper and uses advanced massage techniques to release areas of stress and knotted fibers. With the increase in blood flow and the breaking down of fine scar tissue between the muscle fibers this massage will leave you more flexible and with less pain and tension. This massage is delivered by Physiotherapists and is particularly recommended for those where stress lives in the shoulders. We find that a course of 3 or more within a week gives best results. |

 Kerala Ayurvedic Massage |
| This massage is done on the specially designed wooden table. We use 10-12 kg of warm oil for the special massage to the body. Two therapists give massage simultaneously massaging the whole body; the warm oil is continuously flowing through the motors. After the completion of the treatment the excess oil is wiped off from the surface of the skin initially with cotton cloths and then with special herbal powder, after this one should take warm water bath. Duration is 30-45 minutes, but total duration for the entire procedure is around 60 minutes. |

 Acupressure & Reflexology |
| Stimulation of the reflex points in the feet stimulates and tones the whole body. A traditional Chinese healing method, reflexology works on the connection between specific reflex points in the feet and all other body parts and organs. Equally diagnostic and therapeutic, Reflexology stimulates these points in order to improve and strengthen the weak areas of the body, remove congestion and stimulate elimination. These weaker areas are often underlying causes of many common conditions or symptoms. As tensions are eased, and circulation and elimination is improved this gentle therapy encourages the body to heal itself at its own pace, counteracting a lifetime of misuse. |

 Traditional Yoga |
| Consists of simple meditative asanas and breathing techniques. This also involves some bandhas and mudhras. But before doing this type of yoga one has to practice loosening exercises like joints and muscle exercises described in traditional yoga called sukshmavyayama. The traditional yoga will be taught in daily classes, this is common for all the patients/guests. This takes about 60-90 minutes. |

 Dynamic Yoga |
| Astanga Yoga. Astanga yoga has a unique movement-breathing system. This movement through the sequence of poses (asanas) produces heat, which, intern, produces sweat. The sweat is both cleansing and purifying. As you progress more deeply into the practice, toxins held in the deeper layers of muscle tissue and internal organs are also released. The power of the breath draws the mind in on itself, and joins mind and body together. The breath, the locks of the energy centers, and the eye focus, when applied together, bring about the physical and the meditative aspects of dynamic yoga. The practice itself becomes a moving meditation. Dynamic yoga stems from astanga yoga, but allows a wider range of postures (asanas) and is adaptable to all levels of fitness, of flexibility, of strength. Both styles build body awareness, body balancing, observable muscular-control, meditation, self-reflection, breathing techniques and an awareness of the foundation of life. |

 Stretching Exercises |
| They are sessions where the emphasis is on one part of the body such as backbends, balancing postures, hamstring, hip opening, inversions, legs and knees, spinal twists, upper body strength, upper back, chest and shoulders. Backbends stimulate the sympathetic nervous system. Mild back bending relieves the tedium of sitting hunched over a desk, the stress from manipulating objects in the environment, and the habit of too much resting and reclining. Balance postures develop strong muscles in the arms and legs as well as will power, focus, inner strength. They develop the sense of balance and help to improve the coordination between different parts of the body. These asanas develop the brain centre that controls fine movements of the body - the cerebellum. This also induces nervous balance and removes stress, anxiety and worries. Inversions. According to the Yogic lore, by turning the body upside down, the fluid of immortality might be retained as a regenerative elixir, creating vibrant, glowing health. While this may seem far-fetched, there is an undeniable youthful glow that emanates from those who practice these poses regularly |

 Pranayama (Breathing Techniques) |
| Prana means breath, respiration, life, vitality, wind, energy or strength. Ayama means length, expansion, stretching or restraint. Pranayama thus connotes extension of breath and its control. It is this science of breath. Emotional excitement affects the rate of breathing. Equally, deliberate regulation of breathing checks emotional excitement. As the very object of Yoga is to control the mind, the yogi first learns pranayama to master the breath. "He who can control his breath, can control his mind", the Yogic lore says. This produces a beneficent effect on the autonomic nervous system. A regular practice of pranayama will slow your heart down and you'll have a subjective experience of relaxation. It also decreases the amount of air remaining in the lungs after exhalation. Proper breathing techniques reduce fear and anxiety and create space for personal healing and transformational growth. |
